Enercon Technologies is a contract manufacturer of electronic instrumentation specialising in medical devices, life sciences, military, and industrial instrumentation.
The company’s 3,000 square metre facility was split between the production and storage of the devices, and the instruments used to create them. With the traditional racking system, Enercon faced all the problems that such systems typically pose: slow retrievals, inaccurate picking, and uncertain inventory tracking. As part of an expansion project, the company wanted to optimise the use of its storage space, protect its components against dust and debris, and retrieve them more efficiently.
Enercon Technologies Bolsters its Storage with Modula Warehouses
The installation of six Modula VLM units, nearly 10 metres high and spanning two floors of the building, has completely revolutionised the way the inventory is managed. By implementing vertical storage solutions, Enercon has drastically reduced the space required for storage, better protected the fragile electronic components, and rendered the manufacturing and storage process much more efficient.
