Last month, a class of eight-year-old children came to see us in our new headquarters in Fiorano Modenese. We gave them a tour of the new plant and showed them our automatic vertical storage systems. After they got over their initial amazement, they gave some imaginative answers to the question: “What would you children like to store in Modula systems?”
One idea we’ve already heard is using them for board games. It’s been done by the board game and jigsaw puzzle manufacturer and distributor Outset Media.
By installing four Modula Lift ML50Ds and putting its inventory inside them, Outset Media managed to save 4,000 square metres of floor space. Thanks to Modula, one picker can now fulfil orders at three times the previous rate.
With its new automated warehouse, Outset Media can now keep up with the growing demand without having to purchase additional buildings.
