Since 1987 we have concentrated on the world of automation with a special focus on vertical automated warehouses, but we also know that we are a valid interlocutor for companies seeking answers and advice for their logistics processes or to integrate Modula technologies into their systems and flows.

This is why we have always chosen to collaborate with different realities in Italy and around the world that are complementary to our know-how, in order to offer complete or integrable solutions together with them.

ABB

ABB is a leading multinational automation and electrification company. Artificial intelligence systems, drives and motors, digital solutions and electrification services are part of its portfolio, which also boasts a wide range of business automation solutions for industries. With ABB it is possible to create integrated automation solutions of the highest level and integrate them with Modula automated warehouses using the robot interface kit.

Masinara, a Bologna-based company that manufactures components for rolling shutters, is an example of the application of ABB’s robotic integration with Modula automatic warehouses. The Modula warehouses were installed in series on two sides, with a conveyor belt in the middle where the ABB robot moves. This is a case of a 100% robotic island, which is completely autonomous and does not require the intervention of a warehouse operator.

EQUANS

Equans, a company of the Bouygues Group, designs customised robotic solutions for the automotive, oil and gas, biopharmaceutical, electronics, healthcare and food sectors, with a focus on new technologies and innovation

In several French projects, Modula automated storage systems and Equans cobots have integrated by relying on the robot interface kit with which they exchange valuable information. The result is all-round automation for the end customer.

MiR

MiR develops autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for internal transport and material handling. This type of robot can move freely within the logistics space in a completely autonomous manner.

At Amer, a company that designs customised solutions for motorisation and electrical handling, the combination of the MiR AMRs with the Modula vertical warehouses allows goods to be picked, stored and handled completely autonomously. The WMS software of the Modula warehouse and the MiR Fleet are interactive with each other, allowing precise synchronisation of operations. The Modula receives the semi-finished products from a MiR robot and stores them for as long as necessary, from a few hours to a few days, before another MiR picks them up and transports them to another department to complete the job. The Modula is programmed to drop the drawer into the bay as the MiR walks towards it to pick up/store the material. The robot arrives, positions itself and scans the QR Code in front of the bay, picks up or deposits the semi-finished product and confirms the end of the operation, without the need for human intervention
