How does an anthropomorphic robot interface with Modula warehouses?

Modula warehouses can interface with anthropomorphic robots if the following prerequisites are in place:

• Modula WMS Premium Software
This is required to use the standard protocol for integration between the Modula unit and the robot. Communication takes place via Siemens PLC or Socket, using the same command structure for both solutions.

• Robot Interface Kit
This must be installed on the electrical panel to manage three output signals from Modula to the robot, and two input signals from the robot to the Modula unit.

MIR and Anthropomorphic Robots

A real-world example of robotic integration is when a MIR (mobile industrial robot) interacts with an anthropomorphic arm.
The MIR that is generally used for logistics can be used to pick items from the Modula bay.
This combination allows fully automated picking, which is ideal for picking individual items if it is also fitted with an onboard cobot.
The anthropomorphic arm picks items directly from trays in the Modula automated warehouse, removing the need for human intervention.
