ATI Brasil

Modula warehouse management system for the mechanical industry

Sector:

Mechanical

ATI Brasil, Artigos Técnicos Industriais, is an Italian company with over seventy years of experience in the industrial distribution sector that now employs about 250 people.

The warehouse houses more than 30,000 items of various shapes and sizes, so traditional plastic boxes and pallet racks were no longer sufficient to effectively manage inventory so they turned to Modula technology, looking for an automated storage solution. Verticalizing storage for all high value-added items while optimizing available space was the most challenging goal. With more than 25,000 products in stock and more than 100,000 items stored, the automated vertical solution improved both the order sorting process and order status control.

Safety ergonomics and ease of use for a 100% integrable technology solution

Modula made it possible to address and solve significant problems related to safety, ergonomics, and operational efficiency. The decision to implement Modula WMS software has also revolutionized our inventory management. Whereas before inventory control was done through Excel sheets, exposing us to human error now, thanks to Modula, we can accurately monitor stock levels, forecast future demand and optimize replenishment. The system allows stock to be managed in FIFO mode or by subcode priority, improving accuracy and reducing errors.

Whereas order preparation and sorting operations used to take place on a mezzanine floor, causing safety hazards and continuous movement of operators, now with the adoption of the Modula system, ATI has eliminated the need for ladders and improved productivity, allowing operators to work more safely and efficiently from a fixed location.
