This new feature introduces advanced item correlation algorithms to improve product storage and maximize the number of trays handled during picking operations thanks to a new scheduler for order planning; this ensures accurate results, consistent with the simulations made during the design phase.
Main functions of Optimizer
- Optimization of orders and SKU positioning: optimizer creates a correlation map between items (SKUs), analysing what items are picked up together most frequently and how often. Based on this analysis, the system indicates how SKUs can be best positioned, improving picking speed and reducing unnecessary movements of the trays.
- Optimization of picking and rotation in VLMs: given a set of orders, Optimizer selects those that can be optimally processed, minimizing tray movements and improving the operating efficiency of the VLM. Continuous analysis of the current status of the VLM is performed, allowing the orders that are most compatible with each other to be processed together.
